To support the development of E-government, the Consumer Council launched a one-step consolidated service platform called “Consumer Online” today (20th). A variety of services of the Council are available on the platform for the provision of quality and efficient services to consumers.

“Consumer Online” is efficient and easy to use, consumers may scan the QR Code of the platform or get access via the website link (https://app.consumer.gov.mo/wapp) to use all the functions, including “Consumer Complaint”, “Feedback”, “Enquiry” or check the news of the Council.

Simple complain and enquiry process

Consumers may visit “Consumer Online” on mobile devices, complaints can be lodged using the default options with the submission of text or pictures, the Council will then follow up on the case as soon as possible, complainants may also check case status on the platform, thus enhancing the transparency of the work of the Council.

Feedback welcome to improve consumer protection work

Consumers’ comments help to enhance quality of the Council’s work, a “Feedback” section is available on “Consumer Online” to welcome all kinds of feedback from consumers. “Enquiry” enables consumers to enquire about any matters related to consumption and the Council will response to them promptly. Other information including research and reports conducted by the Council as well as consumer alerts are also available on the platform.

The platform also offers an online channel to the public to book educational talks to be held by the Council, consumers may check the related details on the platform and other promotional activities.

The platform is open to local citizens and tourists, providing Chinese, Portuguese and English versions. To ensure confidentiality of case details submitted to the platform, users are required to enter the case number and the registered mobile phone number in order to check case status.

The Council will continue to improve its electronic services and provide better service to consumers.

The Council’s hotline 89889315 is still in use, online complaint can also be lodged on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo).
