Typhoon Higos has made landfall at the coast of Zhuhai at 6am and is gradually moving away from Macao, and the wind is gradually weakening. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 SE has been issued at 7:30am, but there will still be winds reaching level 8 and frequent heavy showers with thunderstorms. The public are advised to pay special attention to safety.
At the same time, Red Storm Surge Warning is in effect. Severe flooding has occurred in low-lying areas. Flooding level of over 0.8 meter has been recorded in Inner Harbour area. It is forecasted that there will be flooding in low-lying areas between now and 11am.
