Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) held 2021 Career Day on 23 March at IFTM Taipa Campus. Dozens of organisations from various sectors joined and exhibited at the event, providing employment opportunities and information, as well as the latest development of the sectors for IFTM graduating students. The Career Day aimed to provide a direct communication platform between students and employers, allowing students to know more about the current job market and maximising their chance of successful job application.

During the event, 53 participating organisations from Macao and Mainland (including the Greater Bay Area) exhibited more than 2,000 job vacancies for IFTM graduating students. Representatives from the participating organisations introduced career prospects and positions available in their companies as well as arranging on-site interviews for graduating students and participants. The graduating students and participants were enthusiastic about the event. Questions regarding employment trends and employers’ expectation were raised and discussed in the fair.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to the tourism and hospitality industry, graduates encounter more challenges starting their career, IFTM will continue to organise career fair and offer different kinds of support to help our graduating students with well-rounded preparation. We believe opportunities will increase when the pandemic continued to stay under control, allowing businesses to continue operations.
