Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that licensed motor vehicles in Macao totalled 243,331 as at end-November 2020, up by 1.3% year-on-year. Light automobiles (110,976) and heavy motorcycles (102,462) grew by 1.6% and 2.9% year-on-year respectively, whereas light motorcycles (22,541) dropped by 6.3%. New registration of motor vehicles in November rose by 5.8% year-on-year to 1,292, with that of heavy motorcycles (693) increasing by 22.7% while that of light automobiles (545) falling by 13.2%. From January to November 2020, new registration of motor vehicles went down by 1.5% year-on-year to 11,183. Number of traffic accidents in November totalled 1,012, with 339 injuries. From January to November 2020, there were 9,178 traffic accidents which caused 5 deaths and 3,237 injuries.

Cross-border vehicular traffic in November decreased by 27.4% year-on-year to 332,073 trips, of which light automobile trips (302,176) and heavy truck trips (28,379) dropped by 25.5% and 8.4% respectively. From January to November 2020, cross-border vehicular traffic declined by 56.0% year-on-year to 2,155,210 trips. Meanwhile, gross weight of containerized cargo by land in November grew by 27.6% year-on-year to 2,844 tonnes, with 97.7% (2,779 tonnes) of cargo passing through the Checkpoint of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. From January to November 2020, gross weight of containerized cargo by land increased by 32.7% year-on-year to 25,066 tonnes.

Gross weight of port containerized cargo grew by 10.6% year-on-year to 13,286 tonnes in November; cargo being handled at the Inner Harbour (8,317 tonnes) surged by 41.0% whereas that being shipped through the Ká-Hó Harbour (4,969 tonnes) decreased by 18.7%. From January to November 2020, gross weight of port containerized cargo dropped by 20.8% year-on-year to 107,148 tonnes.

Arriving and departing commercial flights at the Macau International Airport in November declined by 83.6% year-on-year to 1,025 trips. Air cargo totalled 4,507 tonnes, a drop of 13.8% year-on-year; gross weight of inward cargo (381 tonnes) and transit cargo (124 tonnes) fell by 53.3% and 81.0% respectively, whereas that of outward cargo (4,002 tonnes) rose by 6.4%. From January to November 2020, arriving and departing commercial flights dipped by 81.3% year-on-year to 12,559 trips, and air cargo went down by 23.5% to 28,864 tonnes.

As at the end of November 2020, there were 107,998 fixed-line telephone subscribers, down by 7.7% year-on-year. Number of mobile phone subscribers decreased by 33.0% year-on-year to 1,644,820, with stored-value GSM card subscribers (814,000) declining by 50.9%. Internet subscribers grew by 7.7% year-on-year to 630,183. In November, the duration of internet usage edged up by 0.5% year-on-year to 137 million hours. Total duration of internet usage from January to November 2020 reached 1.51 billion hours, a growth of 4.1% year-on-year.
