The Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government recently organized the participation of a delegation in the 13th Cross-strait (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair (hereunder referred to as “CCCIF”) in Xiamen. Macao cultural and creative entities participated in the exhibition and the “Macao Creative Pavilion” was set up for showcasing Macao’s cultural and creative products, in a bid to expand the promotion channels for Macao’s cultural and creative industries, and promote the growth of regional cooperation between Fujian and Macao in the cultural and creative fields. The Head of the Department for Promoting Cultural and Creative Industries of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, Ho Hong Pan and the Managing Director of the China-Macao Resources Advertising & Exhibition Co., Ltd., Bi Chi Kin, attended the exhibition.

This edition of the CCCIF was held at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center (XICEC) from 4 to 7 December, lasting for four days. Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and hosted by the China-Macao Resources Advertising & Exhibition Co., Ltd., the “Macao Creative Pavilion” presented Macao’s charm as a city where Chinese and Western cultures, traditions and modernity meet by blending the architectural features of Macao with fashionable elements, as well as a variety of cultural and creative themes such as original art and design products, culinary culture and handicrafts. Through the Macao Creative Pavilion, the Cultural Affairs Bureau hopes to showcase the achievements of Macao’s cultural industries, promote the city’s cultural and creative products and services, expand publicity channels for Macao’s cultural and creative industries, creating more opportunities for them, and enhance the cooperation and development of the cultural and creative industries between Fujian and Macao.

A total of ten Macao cultural and creative entities participated in the exhibition, namely: Macau Comickers Association, Macao Cantonese and Fujian Cultural and Creativity Association, Macau Cultural Promotion Association, Macau China Nation Cultural Innovation Association, Macao Traditional Culture (Art) Exchange Association, AFA, 1844 Macau Photography Art Space, Macau Talent Academy Association, Fuhong Society of Macau and Macao Lush Valley Creative Space.
