After assessing the number of users and the use of the re-opened barbecue area of Hac Sá Beach Park, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) decides to further re-open the barbecue areas of Taipa Grande Natural Park and Hac Sá Reservoir Natural Park from October 23. All interested users can make advance bookings for using the above-mentioned barbecue areas, 78 sets of barbecue pits in total, through the “IAM Activity Application System” starting from today (October 21).

From 23 October, IAM will re-open the barbecue areas of Taipa Grande Natural Park and Hac Sá Reservoir Natural Park, for which two sessions each day will be available for applications for bookings. The sessions are from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. respectively.

Currently, 78 sets of barbeque pits in total are available in Hac Sá Beach Park, Taipa Grande Natural Park and Hac Sá Reservoir Natural Park. To balance the current situation of the pandemic with the residents’ need for outdoor leisure venues, the “IAM Activity Application System” (https://app.iam.gov.mo/ActivityWeb/) on the IAM website will be open starting from today for any interested residents to make their bookings for using the venues and facilities.

After assessing the use and management of barbecue facilities, the maximum number of users per barbecue pit will be adjusted to 8, starting from tomorrow (October 22). Users can also choose their own barbecue pits, on a first come, first served basis. In accordance with the disease prevention guidelines issued by the Health Bureau, users of the barbecue areas are urged to strictly follow the relevant requirements, including showing their Macao Health Code valid for the day upon entry, having their body temperature measured and wearing a face mask, as well as keep a social distance of at least one metre. People who have a fever or respiratory symptoms will be refused entry.

IAM urges the members of the public to strictly comply with the disease prevention guidelines and measures designated for barbecue areas and follow the arrangements of the on-site staff when they use the venues. IAM will gradually re-open various municipal facilities based on the actual situation of the pandemic.
