The subscription period for the 2020 Year of the Rat and 2021 Year of the Ox commemorative coins launched by the Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) will end this Friday (16 October) at 6:00pm.  Hence, AMCM would like to remind Macao residents who are interested in subscribing for the said coins to complete the online subscription process before the mentioned deadline.

The Rat and the Ox commemorative coins are the inaugural issue of the new Lunar New Year Commemorative Coin Series, including 1 oz Silver Proof Coin, 5 oz Silver Proof Coin and 0.5 oz Gold Proof Coin for each zodiac animal.  Holders of either permanent or non-permanent valid Macao resident identity card, and are aged 18 or above, can only conduct a single subscription, and can subscribe for a maximum of one piece each of the said commemorative coins.

In the event of oversubscription, the allotment for each type of commemorative coins will be determined by computer balloting. The ballot results will be communicated via SMS messages on 22 October 2020. Subscribers can also browse the ballot results on the webpage of AMCM (https://www.amcm.gov.mo/static/COCS20202021/terms_pt.html) from that day onwards.  For enquiries, please call our hotline at 28565071/28565072 or visit our webpage (https://www.amcm.gov.mo/static/COCS20202021/terms_pt.html).
