Given that the local tour “Helicopter Ride Experience” under the umbrella of “Macao Ready Go! Local Tours” has gained wide popularity since launched, the organizer has worked out an arrangement with the helicopter service provider to provide the above tour between 1 – 22 September as well with an addition of 1,008 participants. A second round of electronic lots was carried out today (25 August).

The new quotas will be offered to applicants on the waiting list produced by the first round of electronic lots last month. For the rest of new quotas, a second round of lots will be cast among unlisted applicants who entered the lots before, to assign sequence numbers to 600 applicants in total. Applicants numbered 1 – 383 in the list are given the priority to join the tour. Similarly, newly-listed applicants who cannot join the tour within the new quotas will be put on the waiting list.

The second electronic lots were drawn at Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) today (25 August), witnessed by MGTO Deputy Director Cheng Wai Tong among others. A representative of the task force comprising Macau Travel Agency Association, Association of Macao Tourist Agents and Travel Industry Council of Macau pressed the button for lots casting.

Between 1 and 22 September, the local tour “Helicopter Ride Experience” will be available from Wednesday to Sunday each week (the tour will take place at night on Wednesday and Thursday, and in the afternoon from Friday to Sunday). In respective order, every newly-listed applicant can choose the date of participation and join the tour along with one companion. Every helicopter can accommodate up to 12 passengers. Participants will be assigned seats designated by helicopter staff upon arrival. One window seat will be allocated to every group of two participants basically. For safety reasons, participants between 2 and 12 years old or at the age of 65 or above will not be assigned window seats. Should a helicopter flight be cancelled because of adverse weather conditions or technical issues, the task force will coordinate with the helicopter service provider on tour date rearrangement.

Applicants can check out the list on MGTO’s website https://www.macaotourism.gov.mofrom today, and can contact the travel agencies which handled their applications for further enquiry.
