Social Welfare Bureau makes the following appeals to all nurseries and parents:  In response to further development of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, Social Welfare Bureau recommends that parents having the conditions of taking care children at home should try to keep children at home after Chinese New Year holidays, and do not arrange children to nurseries.

Considering that some parents have to work after Chinese New Year and have no conditions of taking care of children at home, the subsidized nurseries provide care and support for families in need after the holiday. Social Welfare Bureau has required all nurseries to strictly implement all epidemic prevention measures issued by Health Bureau and Social Welfare Bureau. In particular, it should divide the area for picking up children, and stop parents from entering the center to pick up children. If feasible, all children, employees and related people who have been to Wuhan / Hubei in the past 14 days should be advised to stay at home and not return to the nursery for the time being. In addition, self-health monitoring should be closely monitored. If there is any discomfort, seek medical attention and inform the nursery immediately.

Social Welfare Bureau once again appeals to parents with conditions to temporarily refrain from bringing children back to nurseries in accordance with the actual conditions and circumstances of the family.
