“Macao Light Festival 2019 – Explore the Light” has enjoyed wide popularity among residents and visitors since its launch on 1st December. Hot spots for selfie and check-in moments are spread along the four designed routes. Two teams from Japan and Shenzhen will stage their projection mapping shows from 11th to 19th December in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

Coming from Japan, the show “Prism” depicts the historic stories of Macao. Merging the light effects created with 20 new-model programmable LED lights, the show portrays the budding harmony in the city highlighted by the exquisite architecture of St. Joseph’s Seminary Church, expressing best wishes for Macao’s continuous progress in harmony. “The Adventures of Snow”, created by the team from Shenzhen in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, unfolds the adventures of a snowflake which floats past attractive delicacies, enjoys the thrill of motorsport and visits a magnificent church. Surprises are discovered along the journey, paying tribute to Macao with dreamlike imagination brought to life.

The Macao Light Festival has created a lively scene in town once again this year. Many residents and visitors flock to different places lit up by the event to enjoy the illuminations, mapping shows and the fun of interactive games with the young and old. Children are overjoyed when they encounter Macao Tourism Mascot “MAK MAK” at Anim’Arte Nam Van, excited to play and take pictures with “Mak Mak”. Dazzled by the Light Festival for the first time, the northern district has become another wonderful place to visit for the young and old. Various spots are illuminated like a star-studded sky along the route in addition to the mapping show “Memory of Macau Canidrome” at Macau (Yat Yuen) Canidrome, drawing a new flow of visitors and residents into the enlivened district. Besides enjoying the light artistry on-site, people also share their beautiful pictures and tips about photography angles and skills on social network.
