Due to the unstable weather conditions in August, the Macao SAR Government will extend the period of the aerial mapping operation which was originally  scheduled to complete in August. It is expected that the whole operation will finish towards the end of September.

The aerial mapping task involves the helicopter operation and the unmanned aircraft operation, and can only be carried out under favourable weather conditions. But due to the unstable weather in August, the Civil Aviation Authority has now extended the operation period to the end of September upon receipt of the request by the operator. The Authority will continue to ensure that the operator will complete all the operations in a safe manner in accordance with the Air Navigation Regulation of Macao.
