Members of the Chief Executive Election Committee have until Friday (9 August) to collect their respective credentials in order to be allowed to exercise their right to vote in the 25 August Chief Executive Election.

The credential was also necessary for those wishing to attend a Saturday (10 August) session in which the accepted candidate for the Chief Executive Election will give a presentation on the respective election platform, followed by a question-and-answer session.

The President of the Electoral Affairs Commission for the Chief Executive Election, Ms Song Man Lei, gave the information to reporters after a Commission meeting held on Friday (2 August).

The 10 August session, as well as the polling for the Chief Executive Election on 25 August, will be held at the Macao East Asian Games Dome.

Ms Song said additionally that the replacement of a representative in the 400-member Chief Executive Election Committee – namely of a Macao deputy to the National People’s Congress – had been completed, as Mr Ho Kevin King Lun had submitted the required paperwork to the Electoral Affairs Commission.
