The Macau Polytechnic Institute is ready to kick off a whole host of exciting and enriching activities during its annual Open Day scheduled for January 5 (Saturday) on the main campus at Gomez Street. Activities will include presentations by faculty and staff, sharing of learning experiences, teaching demonstrations, and fun games at booths. Through these events, prospective high school graduates, as well as people from all walks of life and the general public can expect to have a deeper understanding of the management philosophy and vision of MPI. The Open Day will provide young people aspiring to enroll into MPI's academic programs a golden opportunity to know more about MPI's teaching facilities, courses, teaching and research and, above all, the application process.

For the 2019/20 academic year, MPI is actively recruiting students in over 20 degree programs spanning seven major academic fields. These include academic programs in Business Administration: Accounting, Gaming and Recreation Management, Marketing, E-commerce, Management, and Sino-Lusophone Trade Relations; in Information Technology: Computing; in Public Policy: Social Work and Public Administration (Chinese/Portuguese); in Language and Translation: Chinese/Portuguese Translation & Interpretation, Portuguese Language and Culture, Chinese-English Translation & Interpretation and International Chinese Language Education; in Arts: Design, Visual Arts and Music; in Biomedical and Health Sciences: Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology and Pharmacy Technology; as well as programs in Sports: Physical Education.

The MPI Open Day will start by a grand opening ceremony in the Auditorium, to be followed by guided campus tours, presentations of programs and courses, exhibitions of teaching and research achievements, physical and fitness trial tests, performances and interactions, workshops on arts and design, nursing operations, experiment demonstrations, skills talent shows, library visits, try-outs of teaching aids and many other activities. We cordially welcome all prospective high school graduates and their parents, as well as people from all walks of life, to come join our Open Day events. On-site applications will also be accepted at the Registry Office. The application period will remain open until January 18, 2019.
